{"id":6827,"date":"2022-11-03T09:17:41","date_gmt":"2022-11-03T09:17:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/save-renovate-for-young-people-subsidies-up-to-90\/"},"modified":"2023-08-21T19:14:57","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T19:14:57","slug":"save-renovate-for-young-people-subsidies-up-to-90","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/save-renovate-for-young-people-subsidies-up-to-90\/","title":{"rendered":"Save &#8211; Renovate for Young People: Subsidies up to 90%"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/exoikonomo-anakainizo-gia-neous-epidotiseis-eos-kai-90-tois-ekato-1-1024x614.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>The guide of the <strong>Economize &#8211; Renovate for Youth<\/strong> Programme <strong>has been pre-published<\/strong> on the website of the <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/ypen.gov.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT<\/a>\n<\/strong> with a total budget of 350 million. euro.<\/p>\n\n<p>The new program, which is part of the government&#8217;s broader Social Housing Policy &#8220;My Home!&#8221;, announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, gives the <strong>possibility<\/strong> for <strong>20,000 young people<\/strong>, <strong>aged between 18 and 39 years,<\/strong> to <strong>upgrade energy and renovate their residence<\/strong>. The goal of the program is to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">save primary energy<\/a><\/strong> by at least 30%. Also the <strong>upgrading of the energy category<\/strong> based on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kenak.gr\/pea.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Energy Performance Certificate<\/a><\/strong> (EPC) by at least three energy classes in relation to the existing classification.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The Program is divided into two sections:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>&#8220;Saving for Young People&#8221;.<\/strong> It includes energy saving interventions, such as replacement of frames, thermal insulation, heating-cooling systems, hot water supply systems and smart home.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Renovate for Young People&#8221;.<\/strong> It includes renovation interventions, such as renovation of bathroom and kitchen areas, replacement of entrance door, replacement and repair of electrical and plumbing installations as well as floors. A basic condition for inclusion in the &#8220;Renovate&#8221; strand is the inclusion in the &#8221; <strong>Save<\/strong>&#8221; strand first.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>All young people born <strong>between 01\/01\/1984 and 31\/12\/2005<\/strong> are eligible to participate in the programme. The <strong>family income<\/strong> must be <strong>up to 50,000 euros<\/strong> to be eligible for <strong>Ex Economo<\/strong>. While to join the <strong>Renovate <\/strong>scheme, it should be<strong> up to 20,000 euros <\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>In addition, beneficiaries should be:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Owners of the property, with any right in rem and owning it, or being full owners, or usufructuary and renting it out, to join &#8220;Save for Youth&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Freehold and 100% property owners to join Renovate for Young<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The <strong>Energy Efficiency &#8211; Renovate for Youth<\/strong> Programme covers <strong>eligible expenses up to 35,000<\/strong> euros for the <strong>energy upgrade and renovation of a home<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>particularly:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3B5;&#x3C0;&#x3B9;&#x3BB;&#x3AD;&#x3BE;&#x3B9;&#x3BC;&#x3BF;&#x3C2;-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3CB;&#x3C0;&#x3BF;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3C3;&#x3BC;&#x3CC;&#x3C2;-&#x3B5;&#x3BE;&#x3BF;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3BF;&#x3BD;&#x3BF;&#x3BC;&#x3CE;-&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3BD;&#x3AD;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3AD;&#x3C9;&#x3C2;-25-000-&#x3B5;&#x3C5;&#x3C1;&#x3CE;\"><strong>Eligible budget &#8211; Saving for Youth up to 25.000 euros<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The program covers <strong>from 45% to 90% of the amount of eligible energy interventions<\/strong>, while the remaining amount can be covered by an interest-free loan.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3B5;&#x3C0;&#x3B9;&#x3BB;&#x3AD;&#x3BE;&#x3B9;&#x3BC;&#x3BF;&#x3C2;-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3CB;&#x3C0;&#x3BF;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3C3;&#x3BC;&#x3CC;&#x3C2;-&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3B1;&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;&#x3BD;&#x3AF;&#x3B6;&#x3C9;-&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3BD;&#x3AD;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3AD;&#x3C9;&#x3C2;-10-000-&#x3B5;&#x3C5;&#x3C1;&#x3CE;\"><strong>Eligible budget &#8211; Renovate for Youth up to 10.000 euro<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The program covers up <strong>to 30% of the amount of eligible renovation interventions<\/strong>, while the remaining amount can be covered by a low-interest <strong>loan of up to 7,000 euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The percentage of the subsidy is graduated, depending on the income category to which the applicant belongs and is defined as follows:<\/p>\n\n<p>A dwelling, to be considered eligible, must be a detached house or detached apartment and must:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Exists legally<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>It has not been deemed demolishable<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Used as main residence<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>To be classified in an energy class category lower than or equal to C, based on the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The submission and management of the applications to the Program will be done on the <strong>platform<\/strong> of the Ministry of <strong>Foreign Affairs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3BA;&#x3CE;&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3BA;&#x3C1;&#x3AD;&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3C2;-&#x3C5;&#x3C0;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C1;&#x3B3;&#x3CC;&#x3C2;-&#x3C0;&#x3B5;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3B2;&#x3AC;&#x3BB;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C2;-&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;-&#x3B5;&#x3BD;&#x3AD;&#x3C1;&#x3B3;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;&#x3C2;\"><strong>Costas Skrekas, Minister of Environment and Energy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>&#8220;The prime minister announced to the TIF the government&#8217;s comprehensive plan for the new housing policy, &#8220;My house!&#8221;. In implementation of this announcement, we are putting in motion the &#8221; <strong>Save &#8211; Renovate for Youth<\/strong>&#8221; programme, with  <strong>budget of 350 million euros<\/strong>, giving <strong>the appropriate financial incentives<\/strong> <strong>to young<\/strong> people from <strong>18-39 years<\/strong> old, in order to upgrade their homes energy-wise and renovate them. We create the necessary framework so that our young people <strong>to reduce energy costs<\/strong> in their home, with targeted energy interventions, and to acquire a modern residence, which is <strong>condition for a better quality of life<\/strong>. As part of the government initiative &#8220;My Home!&#8221; we present today the new action  <strong>Save money &#8211; Renovate for Young People<\/strong>  enabling young people aged between 18 and 39 to  <strong>not only to upgrade their home energetically but also to<\/strong> <strong>renovate<\/strong>, aiming for an integrated result, with the aim of improving the quality of life and the low environmental footprint.<\/p>\n\n<p>Like the previous programs, this one has a special social character. That is why <strong>we subsidize with an additional 15% the eligible interventions in the very small areas<\/strong>, taking into account the particular difficulties that exist. The <strong>Save &#8211; Renovate for Youth<\/strong> reflects the <strong>further broadening of the scope of energy efficiency programmes for buildings<\/strong> beyond the main residential and public buildings. It follows the pre-publication of the <strong>Economo-Enterprise<\/strong> Guide, which focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises in services, commerce and tourism.
