With 2.3 million euros<\/strong> The Municipality of Athens supports 111 small businesses<\/a> in the historic center<\/strong>. The aim is to proceed with the energy upgrade<\/a><\/strong> of their infrastructure and equipment. So in this way they will reduce<\/strong> their energy costs<\/strong> and operating costs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

According to the relevant announcement issued by the Municipality of Athens, this is the “Athens Business Green Toolkit<\/a>“<\/strong> initiative, the initiative was announced in May<\/strong> last year by the Development and Tourism Promotion Company of the Municipality of Athens<\/a><\/strong> (EATA). It is part of an integrated strategy<\/strong> of the Municipal Authority of Bakogiannis to support the local economy<\/strong>. At the same time, it aims to create the best conditions for a sustainable and resilient city.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

As part of the action, the small Athenian businesses that submitted their funding applications<\/strong> based on their investment plans (budget from 5,000 to 30,000 euros<\/strong>), are funded by the Municipality of Athens for 80% of their total investment<\/strong>, in order to upgrade the energy and operational<\/strong> of the business.<\/p>\n\n

This means, stressed in the announcement of the Municipality, more “environmentally friendly” facilities<\/strong> with reduced energy consumption<\/strong>. Accordingly, by securing significant resources<\/strong> for the enterprise itself. The initiative is implemented<\/strong> through the EBA<\/strong> and is part of the In the package of measures with a total budget of EUR 40 million, euros<\/strong>, announced in November 2020<\/strong> by the Municipal Authority for the support of businesses operating within the boundaries of the intervention area of the Integrated Territorial Investment<\/a> (ITI) of the Municipality of Athens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

“With targeted “green” interventions, we create the conditions for a sustainable Athens<\/strong>.At the same time we contribute dynamically to the strengthening of the city’s economy”<\/strong>, he underlined.<\/p>\n\n
