The high-level <strong>12-month paid internship<\/strong> program of the Greek multinational technology company &#8211; a leader in the field of mobile marketing <strong>Upstream<\/strong>, this time offers education and training to young <strong>DevOps Engineers<\/strong>. Interested candidates can <strong>submit their CVs until April 8, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3CB;&#x3C0;&#x3BF;&#x3B8;&#x3AD;&#x3C3;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3C5;&#x3BC;&#x3BC;&#x3B5;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C7;&#x3AE;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;-start-at-upstream\"><strong>Conditions<\/strong> <strong>Participation in Start at Upstream<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>A prerequisite for participating in the new <strong>Start at Upstream cycle for DevOps Engineers<\/strong> is <strong>to have a degree or complete their studies in <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/information-communications-technologies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">computer science, computer science, programming<\/a> or a similar field<\/strong>. The selection of participants in the program will be made after special evaluations and interviews. Through these, candidates will have <strong>the opportunity to get to know Upstream and its executives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The five selected <strong>DevOps Engineers<\/strong> will begin <strong>their internship in May<\/strong>. They will then join Upstream <strong>for a whole year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The experience of young engineers will begin with <strong>a high-level, one-month training program<\/strong> with training on all the different aspects of <strong>DevOps engineering<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Programming<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>automation<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>the management and monitoring of production systems<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>up to and including CI\/CD<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>This is a <strong>uniquely designed programme<\/strong>, which would normally cost <strong>several thousand euros to watch<\/strong>. Participants in <strong>Start at Upstream<\/strong>, however, will have the opportunity <strong>to watch it completely free of charge<\/strong>. At the same time, they <strong>will be rewarded with a very competitive package and extra benefits<\/strong>, such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Private life insurance<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Possibility for remote working<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>access to a gym within the company, etc.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Then and until the end of the program, <strong>the new engineers will join upstream&#8217;s DevOps Engineers teams.<\/strong> They&#8217;ll work on <strong>real products and services<\/strong>, addressed to a <strong>expanded international market of 1.2 billion mobile phone users<\/strong> in dynamically growing markets around the world, such as Brazil, Nigeria and South Africa. Throughout the 12 months, each participant will have <strong>one of Upstream&#8217;s most experienced DevOps Engineers as a mentor<\/strong>, in order to answer any questions and guide them.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3BD;&#x3B1;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3BB;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;-&#x3BC;&#x3AE;&#x3BB;&#x3B1;-cto-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3C2;-&#x3B5;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;&#x3C1;&#x3B5;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;&#x3C2;\"><strong>Natalia Mila CTO of the company<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>&#8220;We are really excited to once again organise <strong>Start at Upstream<\/strong>. The success of the previous two rounds of the programme was evident from <strong>the hundreds of CVs<\/strong> we received and the calibre of the successful applicants.<\/p>\n\n<p>There is a <strong>huge demand for technological talent<\/strong>. However, at the same time, there are young and capable children who need the appropriate education, training and guidance to <strong>actively contribute<\/strong> to innovation and business development, something that unfortunately is not offered to them in universities. With <strong>Start at Upstream<\/strong> we decided <strong>to invest in young graduates<\/strong>, helping to <strong>bridge the gap between universities and the job market<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;Training at the start of <strong>Start at Upstream<\/strong> was <strong>the best thing<\/strong> that could have happened in my career. I have not found or heard of anything like it. I feel like I&#8217;ve never learned <strong>so many in such a short period of time<\/strong>. I am sure that too many people would pay dearly to participate in such a training program, while we <strong>we were paid to watch it<\/strong>&#8220;, said Timos Polemitis, one of the participants of the first cycle of the  <strong>Start at Upstream<\/strong>, set  <strong>continues his career as a Software Engineer in the company.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>It is recalled that the previous cycles of <strong>Start at Upstream<\/strong> were aimed at <strong>young software engineers<\/strong>. During the first cycle, which began in 2019, <strong>11 software engineers were trained<\/strong>. Of these, <strong>7 were hired by the company<\/strong> after the end of their 12-month internship. The second cycle of the programme is still ongoing.
