The Fund will operate as an <strong>independent financial unit<\/strong> within the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hdb.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Hellenic Development Bank<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>For the establishment of the Fund<strong>(Small Loan Fund for Rural Entrepreneurship<\/strong>), a financial contribution from the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.agrotikianaptixi.gr\/el\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Rural Development Programme 2014\/20<\/a><\/strong> to the <strong>Hellenic Development Bank<\/strong>. The resources will amount to <strong>twenty-one million five hundred thousand euros (EUR 21,500,000)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>This will be followed by <strong>the conclusion of the financing agreement<\/strong> between the Ministry and the <strong>Hellenic Development Bank<\/strong>. As noted in the announcement, the <strong>Hellenic Development Bank<\/strong> will assume the <strong>role of manager of the Fund<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>With the signing of the agreement, the <strong>Hellenic Development Bank<\/strong> will begin the selection procedures of the Banks that will participate in the financing tool. Banks <strong>with rural development programme 2014\/20 resources<\/strong> will provide <strong>risk-sharing<\/strong> <strong>loans<\/strong> ranging from <strong>\u20ac3,000 to \u20ac25,000<\/strong>.The loans will be directed to <strong>farms and <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/manufacturing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">processing enterprises<\/a><\/strong>. The <strong>Rural Development Programme<\/strong> <strong>will finance without interest 50% of the capital<\/strong> of each new loan granted. Therefore the <strong>final interest rate of the loan will be reduced by 50%<\/strong>. In addition, <strong>an interest rate subsidy <\/strong>is foreseen. Also the <strong>possibility of a grant<\/strong> per loan to <strong>provide consultancy and technical support<\/strong> to the final beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n<p>As stated in the announcement, the activation of this important financial instrument <strong>will contribute substantially to the development of our country&#8217;s agri-food sector<\/strong>, by <strong>facilitating access to <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/farming-sector\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">finance for farmers<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_size\/small\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">.<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_size\/very-small\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">very small<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_size\/medium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">small and medium-sized enterprises<\/a><\/strong> of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/processing-of-agricultural-products\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">processing of agricultural products<\/a><\/strong> in a difficult economic climate.<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/calendly.com\/randevou-espa-news\/15min?month=2022-03\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Published in the Government Gazette (Government Gazette B \u0301 1075) the Joint Ministerial Decision, co-signed by the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, Georgios Stylios and the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Ioannis Tsakiris, for the establishment of a Portfolio Fund under the name of Small Loan Fund for Rural Entrepreneurship.
