The technologies that were mainly used in the <strong>period 2018\/20<\/strong> concern:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>internet of things technologies<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>cloud computing<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>cyber security<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>big data analytics<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3BF;&#x3B9;-&#x3B5;&#x3C0;&#x3B9;&#x3C7;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C1;&#x3AE;&#x3C3;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C2;-&#x3C0;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3C3;&#x3B4;&#x3B9;&#x3BF;&#x3C1;&#x3AF;&#x3B6;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3BD;-&#x3C9;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3B7;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3CC;&#x3C4;&#x3B5;&#x3C1;&#x3B5;&#x3C2;-&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3BD;-&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3AC;&#x3C0;&#x3C4;&#x3C5;&#x3BE;&#x3AE;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;-&#x3BC;&#x3AD;&#x3BB;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3BD;-&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3C2;-&#x3C4;&#x3B5;&#x3C7;&#x3BD;&#x3BF;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3B3;&#x3AF;&#x3B5;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3BC;&#x3B5;&#x3AF;&#x3C2;\"><strong>Businesses identify as most important for their future development the technologies in the following areas:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>cyber security<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>big data analytics<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>cloud computing<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>internet of things<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>of 5G<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>A large percentage of businesses declare a lack of knowledge and understanding of the use of technologies, such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>blockchain<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3D printing<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>The key factors that facilitate the adoption of pioneering digital technologies are evaluated:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>staff with appropriate knowledge and skills<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>public funding<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>the information about new technologies<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>the availability of public technological infrastructure<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>These are some of the important findings of the statistical survey of the National Center for Documentation and Electronic Content (EKT), which are published in the publication: <strong>&#8220;The Digital Transformation of Greek businesses, 2018-2020: Pioneering technologies&#8221;.<\/strong> There the emphasis is on <strong>pioneering technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0)<\/strong>.The <strong>set of important indicators<\/strong> which identifies the digital transformation of Greek businesses presents <strong>upward trend in the three years 2018\/20<\/strong>, compared to the previous period 2016-2018. The survey was designed and implemented within the framework of the European statistical survey on business innovation (Community Innovation Survey).<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3CC;&#x3C0;&#x3C9;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3B7;&#x3BC;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3CE;&#x3BD;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;-&#x3B7;-&#x3B4;&#x3B9;&#x3B5;&#x3C5;&#x3B8;&#x3CD;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;-&#x3B5;&#x3BA;&#x3C4;-&#x3B4;&#x3C1;-&#x3B5;&#x3CD;&#x3B7;-&#x3C3;&#x3B1;&#x3C7;&#x3AF;&#x3BD;&#x3B7;\"><strong>As noted by the Director of the ECB, Dr. Evi Sahini:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>&#8216;The ECB in its statistical activity as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statistics.gr\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>National Authority of the Hellenic Statistical System<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>measures and captures critical parameters of digital transformation<\/strong> in order to support the design and evaluation of public policies. the present <strong>research<\/strong> for digital transformation <strong>captures the adoption of pioneering technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution<\/strong>, presents the <strong>real data<\/strong> and the situation faced by dynamic Greek businesses, he records them <strong>digital strategies that adopt and highlight digital processes<\/strong> and practices of the period 2018-2020, which signal a continuous orientation towards a more digital business&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" transformation as a continuous strategy of Greek businesses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>According to the results of the ECB&#8217;s statistical survey on the adoption of digital transformation as a &#8220;continuous and comprehensive development strategy&#8221;, <strong>40.2% of Greek businesses consider digital transformation as an important continuous growth strategy<\/strong>, a value which shows an increase compared to the 2016\/18 period (33.5%).<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Large enterprises,<\/strong> active in <strong>the provision of services<\/strong> and innovative enterprises attach more importance <strong>to digital transformation<\/strong> than <strong>small and medium-sized<\/strong> enterprises, industrial and non-innovative enterprises. <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/manufacturing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">industry<\/a>, and for 46.8% of innovative firms and 22.7% of non-innovative firms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>In all major geographical regions of the country<\/strong> (NUTS1: Attica, Northern Greece, Central Greece and Aegean Islands, Crete) digital transformation is considered to a large extent <strong>very important continuous business development<\/strong> strategy, with the <strong>Attica shows the highest percentage (42.7%), followed by Central Greece (39.5%), Northern Greece (36.9%) and the Aegean Islands, Crete (34.5%).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Regarding the individual strategic areas of digital transformation, <strong>emphasis on digital technology to improve and develop goods\/services (41.7%) and ERP systems (36%)<\/strong> emerge as the most pivotal areas. <strong>Strengthening<\/strong> the <strong>digital skills<\/strong> of staff is <strong>considered very<\/strong> important by 29.7% of businesses.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C8;&#x3B7;&#x3C6;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;&#x3BA;&#x3CC;&#x3C2;-&#x3BC;&#x3B5;&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3C3;&#x3C7;&#x3B7;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3C3;&#x3BC;&#x3CC;&#x3C2;-&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;-&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;&#x3BD;&#x3BF;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3BC;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;-&#x3B5;&#x3C0;&#x3B9;&#x3C7;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C1;&#x3AE;&#x3C3;&#x3B5;&#x3C9;&#x3BD;\"><strong>Digital transformation and business innovation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The positive effect of digital transformation on business innovation is confirmed by the survey results, <strong>as more than half of Greek businesses innovate in their business processes<\/strong> using digital technologies.
