The Fa\u00e7ade<\/strong> program was activated, which is implemented in partnership with the municipality of Athens,<\/strong> the \n Anaplasi S.A.<\/strong>\n<\/a> and the \n Technical Chamber of Greece<\/strong>\n<\/a>. Through the program, incentives<\/strong> are provided to property owners within the Municipality of Athens for the restoration, maintenance and aesthetic upgrading of the facades of buildings<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Who joins<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

All private buildings<\/strong>: detached houses, apartment buildings and listed properties<\/strong> can join the Fa\u00e7ade <\/strong>programme and receive a subsidy. Therefore, buildings owned by the public sector, buildings owned by NPOs and NPIs of the wider public sector are excluded from the programme.<\/p>\n\n

Four objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The program will serve four objectives concerning the building stock of the central municipality<\/strong>, which are summarized as follows:<\/p>\n\n

  • Aesthetic upgrading of the buildings of Athens<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Highlighting the building wealth of the capital<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Dealing with aging and deterioration of buildings – protection and promotion of the city’s real estate<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Liberation of Athens from the unsightly image of the artificial “forest” of antennas that alter the appearance of the city<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    The subsidy rate<\/strong> is set at 100% of the maximum values of the work<\/strong> costs based on the Official Gazette 1358\/B’\/01.08.2007, while the maximum amount of the subsidy<\/strong> is 6,000<\/strong> euros per building. For preserved buildings,<\/strong> the work subsidy is increased by 35%<\/strong> and the maximum subsidy<\/strong> is set at 7,200 euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    The subsidised works<\/strong> – Fa\u00e7ade Programme<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

    The subsidized works of the program include the following:<\/p>\n\n

    • Roof face repair<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Repair and painting of Exterior Frames<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Exterior painting and maintenance<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Repair of plasters, plasters and crowns<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Grinding, polishing and repair of orthomarbling<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Moving air conditioners<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Hide air conditioners<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Moving Satellite Dishes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Removal of illegal advertising and business signs<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Replacement of Individual Antennas<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Planting Trees<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
