These include <strong>Greece<\/strong>. This year, the theme of the competition focuses on those solutions that contribute to <strong>strengthening the green agenda<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">renewable energy sources<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>smart moves<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/agriculture-farmers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sustainable agriculture<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3B2;&#x3B1;&#x3C3;&#x3AF;&#x3BB;&#x3B7;&#x3C2;-&#x3B3;&#x3BF;&#x3CD;&#x3BD;&#x3B1;&#x3C1;&#x3B7;&#x3C2;-&#x3B4;&#x3B9;&#x3B5;&#x3C5;&#x3B8;&#x3CD;&#x3BD;&#x3C9;&#x3BD;-&#x3C3;&#x3CD;&#x3BC;&#x3B2;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3C2;-basf-&#x3B5;&#x3BB;&#x3BB;&#x3AC;&#x3C2;\"><strong>Vassilis Gounaris, managing director of BASF Greece<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Once again, we are seeing a lot of interest in the BASF Innovation Hub 2022 competition in all countries. Overall, to date, <strong>more than 120 applications have been submitted by young and new researchers and start-ups<\/strong>. All nominations focus on renewable energy sources \u2013 such as solar, wind, marine, hydroelectric, biomass and geothermal \u2013 as well as biofuels and green hydrogen. It is obvious that <strong>the Green Deal inspires young people<\/strong> to seek sustainable solutions for the <strong>environmental Protection<\/strong>, the <strong>tackling climate change and sustainable development<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C0;&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3B1;&#x3B3;&#x3B9;&#x3CE;&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3C1;&#x3BB;&#x3AC;&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C2;-&#x3B3;&#x3B5;&#x3BD;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3CC;&#x3C2;-&#x3B4;&#x3B9;&#x3B5;&#x3C5;&#x3B8;&#x3C5;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3AE;&#x3C2;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;-&#x3C3;&#x3C5;&#x3BD;&#x3B4;&#x3AD;&#x3C3;&#x3BC;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;-&#x3B5;&#x3BB;&#x3BB;&#x3B7;&#x3BD;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3CE;&#x3BD;-&#x3C7;&#x3B7;&#x3BC;&#x3B9;&#x3BA;&#x3CE;&#x3BD;-&#x3B2;&#x3B9;&#x3BF;&#x3BC;&#x3B7;&#x3C7;&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3B9;&#x3CE;&#x3BD;\"><strong>Panagiotis Skarlatos, general director of the Association of Greek Chemical Industries<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The innovation competition inspired by the goals of the Green Deal takes place <strong>at a time of energy crisis and food threat<\/strong>. We are excited about <strong>the interest of young scientists to contribute<\/strong> innovative and sustainable proposals to the challenges and to take advantage of the opportunity to realize the ideas offered by the competition.&#8221; <strong>After the application deadline<\/strong>, on September 30, 2022 at midnight, <strong>the evaluation committee will select the best proposal from Greece.<\/strong> Then, <strong>in November, the winners of the local competitions from the 11 countries<\/strong> will <strong>participate in the Grand Final.<\/strong> <strong>Individual researchers<\/strong> or start-up groups <strong>of up to five members are eligible to participate.<\/strong> <strong>A basic condition<\/strong> for participation is the submitted proposal, directly or indirectly, <strong>to contribute to addressing environmental challenges,<\/strong> such as:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>the production of clean energy<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>smart transportation<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>sustainable agriculture<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Whether it&#8217;s solutions that focus on renewable energy sources, <strong>electrification or the production of healthy and affordable food, the winner will be able to use the prize money to bring their idea to life,&#8221;<\/strong> explains Mr. Vassilis Gounaris. <strong>At the same time, he reminds that the lack of financial means is one of the most common reasons why some of the best ideas are not implemented.<\/strong> <strong>Make a phone appointment with us<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/calendly.com\/randevou-espa-news\/15min?month=2022-03\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the BASF Innovation Hub 2022 innovation competition has been extended until September 30.
