{"id":6176,"date":"2022-10-18T07:32:48","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T07:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/recovery-fund-the-commission-received-greeces-request-for-disbursement-of-3-56-billion-euro\/"},"modified":"2023-09-09T13:46:00","modified_gmt":"2023-09-09T13:46:00","slug":"recovery-fund-the-commission-received-greeces-request-for-disbursement-of-3-56-billion-euro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/recovery-fund-the-commission-received-greeces-request-for-disbursement-of-3-56-billion-euro\/","title":{"rendered":"Recovery Fund: The Commission received Greece&#8217;s request for disbursement of 3.56 billion. euros"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/tameio-anakampsis-i-commission-elave-to-aitima-tis-ellados-gia-ektamieusi-3-56-dis-euro-1024x570.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/index_el\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">European Commission<\/a><\/strong> announced yesterday 3\/10\/22 that it received the <strong>second payment request<\/strong> from Greece for <strong>3.56 billion euros<\/strong> under the <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/business-economy-euro\/economic-recovery\/recovery-and-resilience-facility_el\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>Recovery and Resilience Facility<\/strong><\/a> (RRF) in the <strong>Recovery Fund.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The amount of 3.53 billion euros concerns pre-financing, of which:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>the 1.72 billion euros concern grants<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>the 1.85 billion euros, loans<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>It is recalled that the overall project from the <strong>Greek<\/strong><strong> Recovery<\/strong> and Resilience Fund will be financed with<strong>  17.43 billion. euros<\/strong> in <strong>grants<\/strong> and <strong>12.73 billion euros<\/strong> in <strong>loans.<\/strong> Payments under the RRF are <strong>performance<\/strong> <strong>based<\/strong>. They <strong>depend<\/strong> on the <strong>implementation<\/strong> of the <strong>investments<\/strong> and <strong>reforms outlined<\/strong> in Greece&#8217;s recovery and <strong>resilience plan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>This second payment request relates to 28 milestones and targets covering various reforms and investments such as: in the areas of sustainable transport, sustainable energy, sustainable transport, sustainable development, and the environment.  <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/energy\/\"><strong>energy<\/strong><\/a>, the restoration of land in areas affected by lignite, the  <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/information-communications-technologies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">digital transformation<\/a><\/strong>, public administration and justice, skills, public administration and justice  <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Education<\/strong><\/a> and social, economic and fiscal policy, research and innovation, business openness and the competitiveness and development of the sectors of the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/tourism-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tourism<\/a><\/strong>, of <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/agriculture-farmers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>agriculture<\/strong><\/a>  and industry.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C4;&#x3C1;&#x3AF;&#x3B1;-&#x3B1;&#x3C0;&#x3CC;-&#x3C4;&#x3B1;-&#x3BF;&#x3C1;&#x3CC;&#x3C3;&#x3B7;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;-&#x3BA;&#x3B1;&#x3B9;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3C3;&#x3C4;&#x3CC;&#x3C7;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3B1;&#x3C6;&#x3BF;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3CD;&#x3BD;-&#x3C4;&#x3B7;&#x3BD;-&#x3C5;&#x3BB;&#x3BF;&#x3C0;&#x3BF;&#x3AF;&#x3B7;&#x3C3;&#x3B7;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;-&#x3B4;&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;&#x3BA;&#x3BF;&#x3CD;-&#x3BC;&#x3AD;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3C2;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;-rrf\"><strong>Three of the milestones and targets relate to the implementation of the loan part of the RRF.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>The Commission now has <strong>two months<\/strong> to <strong>assess<\/strong> the request. She will then send her preliminary assessment.
