The compensation of producers affected by the recent fires<\/strong> was the main topic of the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Agricultural Insurance Organisation (ELGA)<\/strong> on Thursday 3 August 2023.<\/em><\/p>\n

The ELGA aid prices<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In particular, following cooperation between the Minister of Rural Development and Food<\/strong>, Lefteris Avgenakis and the President of ELGA<\/strong>, Andreas Th. Lykourentzou, the Board of Directors of the Agency decided the following:<\/p>\n

The aid prices<\/strong> for crops affected by the fires of 2023, which are included in<\/strong> State financial aid<\/strong> programmes “State Aid<\/strong> ”
\n farmers<\/strong>
\n<\/a> are defined as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. olive trees: one hundred and sixty (160,00) euros<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. other tree crops: one hundred and seven (EUR 107,00)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. vines: three thousand five hundred (3.500,00) euros per hectare<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. aromatic plants: two thousand (2.000,00) euros per hectare<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The decision<\/strong> of the ELGA Board of Directors is submitted to the
    \n Governmental State Aid Committee<\/strong>
    \n<\/a> to take the necessary decisions on the compensation budget<\/strong>, following the sending of the digital file by ELGA with the beneficiary producers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    It is worth noting that, the ELGA officials operate in all areas, which were affected by the fire<\/strong> and specifically:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. In Magnesia, the recording of livestock losses will be completed within days<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. In Rhodes, the markings on both the plant and animal capital are evolving<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. In Corfu, immediately after the completion of the extinguishing of the fire, the ELGA crews went to the field and complete the work of markings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
