Applications for the 6th cycle of the CapsuleT Travel & Travel<\/strong> Acceleration Program continue unabated until Thursday, June 29, 2023<\/strong>. Hospitality Accelerator.<\/p>\n

It is the award-winning accelerator program from SESA Awards 2022 and Finalist in Global Startup Awards 2023 that actively contributes to the strengthening of Greek start-ups<\/strong><\/a> technology operating in tourism<\/strong><\/a> in order to develop their services\/products and receive the necessary guidance to expand in the tourism market.<\/p>\n

. main objective<\/strong> of the accelerator, is to offer essential support and guidance through the free content-rich programme<\/strong>, which responds to the business needs of startups and at the same time provide practical training opportunities, industry interface – with owners, managers and representatives of hotels and tourism businesses<\/strong> as well as through participation in tourism exhibitions such as Philoxenia and Xenia – but also useful tools on how to upgrade and respond to market demands.<\/p>\n

The duration of the programme is 5 months<\/strong>, during which the selected start-ups – in addition to their participation in the programme – can use the accelerator’s office space free of charge, with the possibility of extending the period of use for an additional 3 months after the end of the programme.<\/p>\n

What categories of tourism can you participate in?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Participation is open to companies that provide technological applications and solutions for the Hotel<\/a> and Catering<\/a>, the tourism\/smart cities\/mobility sector, booking engines and online travel agencies, tourism and cultural activities\/guided tours\/events, as well as companies providing sustainable development applications and services, energy<\/a>, food and natural resource savings<\/a>, accessibility solutions or specialised communication and promotional solutions as well as financial services (fintech) applications focused on travel\/tourism transactions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Indicatively, the categories that can be included in the program are: internet & web platforms, Mobile apps, Chatbots, Software, Hardware, Energy solutions, Mobility & Transportation solutions, Blockchain \/ Fintech solutions, AI solutions, Big Data, Internet of Things.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Which leading companies will support your startup?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 6th cycle of the Acceleration Programme will take place as always with the valuable subscription and sponsorship of Google<\/strong>, as a gold sponsor of the program, participating in parallel with educational workshops and mentoring, the non-profit organization The People’s Trust, which will support for the third consecutive year the further development of technology startups in the tourism industry and will support the competitive part of the program by offering the cash prizes for the 3 winners and the Aegean Airlines<\/strong>, as the official airline of the teams.<\/p>\n

Important and active strategic partners of the accelerator’s activities are also: NBG Business Seeds, Nelios, PwC, T\u00dcV AUSTRIA Hellas and Programize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the CapsuleT team joins forces again with recognized startups of the tourism market such as Clio Muse Tours, Ferryhopper, Triparound, Welcome Pickups, Workathlon and Wooftogether, which joined the program as community partners.<\/p>\n

Finally, Douwe Egberts\/Foodrinco will be a supporter for the supply of coffee products.<\/p>\n

It is important to note that CapsuleT<\/strong> is a partner of the Smart Attica Innovation Hub<\/strong><\/a>, a founding member of the Greek Fintech Hub<\/strong><\/a> and works closely with institutions both in Greece and abroad on issues related to the promotion of start-up entrepreneurship in the tourism sector.<\/p>\n

What cash prizes can you claim?<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the end of the 6th Acceleration cycle, companies compete for the final prizes totalling up to 40,000 euros<\/strong> – as an additional financial support – and for free services\/preferential benefits from strategic partners of the community of CapsuleT<\/strong>. The grading of the prizes to be awarded by the non-profit organisation The People’s Trust to the winners of the 6th CapsuleT cycle is: 1st prize money 10,000 euros, 2nd prize 5,000 euros and 3rd prize 3,000 euros<\/strong>. In addition, the remaining teams that will successfully complete the program and reach the final will receive 2,000 euros of financial support from CapsuleT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

H Google grants free credits for the use of all Google Cloud services worth $2,000 for 2 years, especially for startups participating in the CapsuleT program, as well as the possibility and conditions (for teams that receive funding) to grant credits for the use of all Google Cloud services up to $100,000 for the first year. At the same time, companies that develop AI solutions as core applications can receive up to $250,000 in credits in the first year.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. The company Nelios offers the first winner free digital marketing services.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. The company Programize offers consulting guidance on product development issues to the 3 winners, as well as access to development services with special preferential prices.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4.  Aegean Airlines will offer airline tickets for the members of the 1st winner’s team.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
