{"id":23605,"date":"2023-07-18T14:33:55","date_gmt":"2023-07-18T14:33:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/espa.io\/over-131500-unemployed-people-benefited-from-active-employment-policies\/"},"modified":"2023-09-08T14:20:44","modified_gmt":"2023-09-08T14:20:44","slug":"over-131500-unemployed-people-benefited-from-active-employment-policies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/over-131500-unemployed-people-benefited-from-active-employment-policies\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 131,500 unemployed people benefited from active employment policies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/dypa-pano-apo-131-500-anergoi-ofelithikan-apo-tis-energitikes-politikes-apasxolis-1-1024x661.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p><strong>Over 131,500 unemployed people<\/strong> <strong>benefited<\/strong> from the active employment policies of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/aid_type\/public-employment-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Public Employment Service <\/a><\/strong>&#8211; <strong>DYPA<\/strong> <strong>in 46 months<\/strong>, setting an all-time record.<\/p>\n\n<p>Specifically, between <strong>1 August 2019 and 31 May 2023, 131,644 unemployed people were employed through DYPA programmes<\/strong>, almost <strong>quadrupling the rate of new job creation<\/strong>, work experience and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>According to the new study<\/strong> by the Strategic Planning Directorate of the <strong>FRA<\/strong>, which analysed data from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dypa.gov.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Integrated Information System<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>490 unemployed people participated in job creation programmes and special employment programmes, 30,267 young unemployed people participated in work experience programmes, while 18,887 unemployed people created new businesses through a grant from the Public Employment Service.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>55% of the beneficiaries live and work in areas outside Attica and Central Macedonia.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>60% of beneficiaries are women, while 44% are young people up to 29 years old. Young women up to 29 years old represent 28% of the beneficiaries.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>66% of beneficiaries are graduates up to post-secondary education, while graduates make up 34%. 41% are high school graduates.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>58% of beneficiaries were unemployed for up to 12 months, while the rest were long-term unemployed.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>91% of the beneficiaries were employed in micro enterprises (1-9 employees). 33% were employed in enterprises in the category <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/wholesale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wholesale<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/retail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Retail<\/a> Trade, Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles, 15% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities, 9% in Accommodation and <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/hospitality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Food<\/a> Services, 9% in <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/manufacturing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Manufacturing<\/a> and 8% in <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/health-medication-social-welfare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Human Health and Social Work<\/a> activities.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over 131,500 unemployed people benefited from the active employment policies of the Public Employment Service &#8211; DYPA in 46 months, setting an all-time record.
