The AECM’s annual seminar on “The SME regulatory framework: how familiar are we with bureaucracy?”<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

The “closed” annual meeting of the European<\/strong> Association of Guarantee Institutions (AECM<\/strong> ) will be held for the first time in Athens<\/strong>, at \n Radisson Blu Park Hotel<\/a>\n<\/strong>, from 15 to 17 June 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The meeting will include the AECM’s annual seminar<\/strong> on “The SME regulatory framework: how familiar are we with bureaucracy?”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Participants<\/strong> coming to Athens from various countries will have the opportunity to learn<\/strong> and discuss<\/strong> all the developments concerning the future<\/strong> and the challenges<\/strong> of SMEs<\/strong> .<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The meeting, as well as the conference, will be attended by members of the management<\/strong> and top executives of guarantors<\/strong> from around the world.<\/p>\n\n

AECM has 47 members in 30 different countries<\/strong>. All its members have common mission<\/strong> to \n support small and medium-sized enterprises<\/a>\n<\/strong> and provide<\/strong> loan<\/strong> guarantees<\/strong>. Since its creation in<\/strong> 1992<\/strong>, it has provided guarantees to more than 5.9 million SMEs<\/strong>. This represents more than 25% of all SMEs in Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The General Assembly, as well as the AECM’s Annual Session, are hosted<\/strong> in Athens<\/strong>, by the \n Hellenic Development Bank<\/a>\n<\/strong> (HDB), which is represented in its management by the Managing Director, Ms<\/strong> Athena Hadjipetrou.<\/p>\n\n

The financial programmes of the EBA<\/strong> for the AECM<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Recently, the Hellenic Development Bank<\/strong> announced four financing programmes<\/strong> totalling 2.5 billion. euro included in the initiative \n Know your customer<\/a>\n<\/strong>. The programme will provide access to bank lending to 60,000 SMEs<\/strong> that are healthy<\/strong> and up-to-date<\/strong> but have been excluded from banks because of their size. The Know your customer<\/strong> platform will be interconnected<\/strong> with AADE<\/strong>, EFKA<\/strong> and Tiresias<\/strong> in order to certify the tax, insurance and solvency of the businesses concerned. On the same platform, entrepreneurs<\/strong> will submit<\/strong> their business<\/strong> plans<\/strong> in a standardised<\/strong> form<\/strong> and indicate<\/strong> the banks<\/strong> they want to approach<\/strong> and there will be safeguards to ensure that banks respond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
