In April the platform<\/strong> for the submission of applications for the new programme of the Ministry of Environment and Energy<\/a><\/strong> (YPEN) Photovoltaics on the Roof<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The beneficiaries of<\/strong> the programme are households<\/a><\/strong> and farmers<\/a><\/strong> who will be able to install their own small photovoltaic system<\/strong>, combined<\/strong> with a storage system<\/strong> (battery).<\/p>\n\n

The total budget of the Roof Photovoltaics<\/strong> programme is \u20ac200 million. The subsidy<\/strong> of the photovoltaic system reaches up to 75% for households<\/strong> and 60% for farmers<\/strong>. The total subsidy<\/strong> of the photovoltaic system with battery can reach up to \u20ac16,000 for households<\/strong> and \u20ac10,000 for farmers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Beneficiaries of<\/strong> the scheme will be able to see in their accounts<\/strong> electricity bills<\/strong> savings<\/strong><\/a> of up to 3,000 euros per year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Special care<\/strong> is taken for vulnerable households<\/strong> with \u20ac35 million being earmarked<\/strong> exclusively for them. There is also a special 10% bonus for people with disabilities<\/strong>, single-parent and large families<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The programme guide<\/strong> was pre-published<\/strong> on Thursday 23 March on the website<\/strong>: https:\/\/ypen.gov.gr\/fotovoltaika-sti-stegi\/<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Features of the Photovoltaics on the Roof Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The basic requirement<\/strong> for submitting an application is that the applicant must have already concluded<\/strong> a Connection<\/strong> Agreement<\/strong> with the DEDDIE<\/a><\/strong> but the photovoltaic station has not been connected.<\/p>\n\n

Each natural person may submit only one application<\/strong>, for a single dwelling<\/strong> – primary or secondary – which has an active domestic electricity supply. Farmers<\/strong> can submit one application<\/strong> for their residence<\/strong> and only one<\/strong> application<\/strong> for the supply of electricity for agricultural use<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The photovoltaic station can be placed on the roof or the roof of a building<\/strong> (which includes roofs, terraces, facades, shades and pergolas), in ancillary areas of the building or agricultural land<\/strong> (e.g. warehouses and parking spaces), or on the ground.<\/p>\n\n

The total budget of<\/strong> the programme, 200 million. euros<\/strong>, from the resources of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, is divided into four categories<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n

1. Exclusively for vulnerable households: \u20ac35 million. euro.<\/strong>2. Exclusively for citizens with individual income <= 20,000\u20ac or family income <= 40,000\u20ac: 85 million. euro.<\/strong>3. Exclusively for citizens with individual income > 20,000\u20ac or family income > 40,000\u20ac: 50 million. euro.<\/strong>4. Exclusively for professional or special scheme farmers: \u20ac30 million. euro.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Programme will remain “open” until the available funds per category are exhausted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The aim of<\/strong> the programme is to cover up to the full cost of the battery<\/strong> and the development and installation costs<\/strong> of the photovoltaic. For the first two categories, the battery subsidy is 100%<\/strong>, while for the third and fourth categories it is 90%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Households will be required to install a photovoltaic station with a battery<\/strong>, while farmers<\/strong> are given the option<\/strong> to choose<\/strong> to install<\/strong> a photovoltaic<\/strong> station<\/strong> with or without a battery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The maximum installed capacity of the photovoltaic plant to be subsidised is set at 10.8kW<\/strong>. Similarly, as regards the battery<\/strong>, the maximum subsidy is set at 10,8kWh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The battery should be able to deliver at least one hour of the power of the RES station.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

As noted, the submission of applications will be fast<\/strong>, without hassle and complicated bureaucracy<\/strong>, through the electronic platform of the DEDDIE<\/strong> and the use of TAXISNET<\/strong> codes.<\/p>\n\n
