This is according to the findings of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.manpowergroup.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ManpowerGroup<\/a> &#8216;s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.manpowergroup.gr\/ereyna-elleipsis-talentoy-toy-omiloy-manpowergroup-gia-to-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Annual International Talent Shortage Survey<\/a> for 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More specifically, in Greece <strong>77% of employers<\/strong> &#8211; equal to the global average &#8211; report <strong>difficulty in finding skilled talent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Compared to last year, the rate appears to be down by 1%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Globally, employers have the greatest difficulty (90%):<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>in Taiwan<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Germany (86%)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hong Kong (85%)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Portugal (84%) and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Puerto Rico (83%)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The difficulty is less:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>in Colombia (64%)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Panama (66%)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>the Czech Republic (66%)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Slovakia (68%)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mexico (69%)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C0;&#x3BF;&#x3B9;&#x3B1;-soft-skills-&#x3C3;&#x3C0;&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3AF;&#x3B6;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3BD;-&#x3C0;&#x3B5;&#x3C1;&#x3B9;&#x3C3;&#x3C3;&#x3CC;&#x3C4;&#x3B5;&#x3C1;&#x3BF;\"><strong>Which Soft Skills are most scarce<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>27% of Greek employers<\/strong> who participated in the <strong>ManpowerGroup<\/strong> survey say that <strong>in terms of soft skills<\/strong> there is a<strong> lack of Responsibility, Reliability and Discipline<\/strong>. On the other hand, <strong>26%<\/strong> state that they <strong>do not find talent with Critical Thinking and Analysis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Leadership and Social Influencing skills are missing for 24%<\/strong>. <strong>Same percentage of<\/strong> employers <strong>say<\/strong> that <strong>Taking the initiative<\/strong> to acquire skills <strong>is missing<\/strong> from talent. Finally, <strong>22%<\/strong> consider that there is a <strong>lack of<\/strong> the <strong>skill of Cooperation and teamwork<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>At the level of technical skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>23% of employers say they lack IT\/Data skills<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>19% of the Engineering<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>18% of the Human Resources<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>17% of Construction\/Production and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>15% the technical skills of Sales\/Marketing<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3AD;&#x3BB;&#x3BB;&#x3B5;&#x3B9;&#x3C8;&#x3B7;-&#x3C4;&#x3B1;&#x3BB;&#x3AD;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3C9;&#x3BD;-&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3AC;-&#x3BA;&#x3BB;&#x3AC;&#x3B4;&#x3BF;\"><strong>Talent shortage by sector<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>From Energy &amp; Energy<\/strong> <strong>Utilities<\/strong> and<strong> Industry to Health &amp; Utilities and Industry to Health &amp; Life Sciences and Communication Services<\/strong>, <strong>Greek employers<\/strong> <strong>can&#8217;t find the skilled talent<\/strong> they need.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More specifically:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">96% say they cannot find talent for the Energy &amp; Utilities sector,<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>85% for the <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/construction\/\">Industry &amp; Industry sector Construction<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>84% for the <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/health-medication-social-welfare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Health sector &amp; Life Sciences<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>82% for the Communication Services sector<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>81% for the <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/informatics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IT sector<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the <strong>Consumer Goods and Services<\/strong> sectors (Includes <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/tourism-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tourism<\/a><\/strong>), the <strong>Financial &amp; Real Estate and Transport<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/supply-chain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Supply Chain<\/a> &amp; Logistics<\/strong> Automotive the percentages are7<strong>0%, 68% and 65%<\/strong>, respectively.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x3C0;&#x3CE;&#x3C2;-&#x3B1;&#x3BD;&#x3C4;&#x3B9;&#x3BC;&#x3B5;&#x3C4;&#x3C9;&#x3C0;&#x3AF;&#x3B6;&#x3BF;&#x3C5;&#x3BD;-&#x3BF;&#x3B9;-&#x3B5;&#x3C1;&#x3B3;&#x3BF;&#x3B4;&#x3CC;&#x3C4;&#x3B5;&#x3C2;-&#x3C4;&#x3BF;-&#x3C7;&#x3AC;&#x3C3;&#x3BC;&#x3B1;-&#x3B4;&#x3B5;&#x3BE;&#x3B9;&#x3BF;&#x3C4;&#x3AE;&#x3C4;&#x3C9;&#x3BD;\"><strong>How employers address the skills gap\u03af\u03c2 \u03bd\u03b1 \u03c4\u03bf\u03c5 \u03b1\u03c0\u03b1\u03bd\u03c4\u03ae\u03c3\u03b5\u03b9\u03c2<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>60% of employers invest in training<\/strong> their existing workforce. <strong>54% in the permanent recruitment of new talent.<\/strong> <strong>45%<\/strong> invest in <strong>more technology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>47% say that in order to address the challenge of talent shortages<\/strong>, they offer more flexibility in terms of where or when they work. <strong>14% are willing to recruit talent from outside<\/strong> their own <strong>borders<\/strong> <strong>especially<\/strong> for the <strong>Consumer Goods &amp; Consumer<\/strong> Staples sectors <strong>Services<\/strong><strong>(including Tourism<\/strong>) and <strong>Health &amp; Healthcare Life Sciences.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Almost 8 out of 10 employers in Greece face serious or relative difficulty in finding skilled talent.
