On Tuesday 27 December 2022,<\/strong> the deadline for<\/strong> submission of<\/strong> business<\/strong> applications<\/strong> for the Work experience programme for 10,000 unemployed young people<\/a>, 18-29 years old, in the regions of Attica and Central Macedonia<\/strong> of DYPA<\/strong>. Already, 7,500 young people<\/strong> have started working<\/strong>. At the same time, applications<\/strong> for the remaining 2,500 posts<\/strong> continue to be submitted<\/strong> at a high rate.<\/p>\n\n

The new 7-month<\/strong> programme<\/strong>aims<\/strong> to boost<\/strong> young people’<\/strong> s access to<\/strong> the labour market<\/strong> by subsidising the acquisition of work experience. DYPA<\/strong> pays beneficiaries a monthly<\/strong> allowance<\/strong> equal to<\/strong> the legal minimum net salary<\/strong> (with full social security contributions). A proportion of<\/strong> holiday<\/strong> bonuses<\/strong> and holiday<\/strong> allowance<\/strong> is also paid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The beneficiaries are 10,000 unemployed young people aged 18-29.<\/strong> They must<\/strong> have completed at least compulsory education<\/strong>. They must also be registered<\/strong> in the unemployment<\/strong> registers<\/strong> of the Employment Promotion Centres of the DYPA<\/strong> located<\/strong> in the areas of competence of the Region of Attica<\/strong> and the Region of Central Macedonia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

A prerequisite is that the company must not have made a reduction in staff due to the termination of an employment contract in the three months prior to the submission of the application.<\/p>\n\n

Businesses interested in participating should submit an online application through the DYPA website. In it, they shall specify the speciality and the educational level of the post.<\/p>\n\n

\u0394\u03a5\u03a0\u0391<\/strong> confirms<\/strong> that the undertaking business<\/strong> fulfils<\/strong> the conditions<\/strong>. The job counsellors<\/strong> nominate candidates<\/strong> according to the qualifications<\/strong> required<\/strong> for the vacancy. Then the company<\/strong> selects<\/strong> the beneficiary<\/strong> and they sign a cooperation agreement.<\/p>\n\n

The project, with a total budget of 68.000.000 euros<\/strong>, is co-funded by the Greek State and the European Social Fund\/Youth<\/strong> Employment Initiative<\/strong> under the Operational Programme for Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
