{"id":10111,"date":"2023-03-03T13:45:04","date_gmt":"2023-03-03T13:45:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-espa.summerize.io\/greentech-challenge-the-final-on-sunday-11-december\/"},"modified":"2023-07-18T08:01:20","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T08:01:20","slug":"greentech-challenge-the-final-on-sunday-11-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/greentech-challenge-the-final-on-sunday-11-december\/","title":{"rendered":"GreenTech Challenge: The final on Sunday 11 December"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/greentech-challenge-tin-kiriaki-11-dekemvriou-o-telikos-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p><strong>On Sunday 11\/12 <\/strong>, the<strong>GreenTech Challenge by ESU NTUA 2022<\/strong><strong>Final will take place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntua.gr\/el\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">National Technical University of<\/a> <\/strong>Athens, for the emergence of the best green <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/business_type\/new-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">startups<\/a>\n<\/strong> (Greentech Startups) and Innovation Idea Holders of this year&#8217;s competition.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>GreenTech Challenge by ESU NTUA 2022<\/strong> is the <strong>largest National Green Innovation Programme<\/strong>. The aim is to <strong>highlight innovative ideas and solutions<\/strong> in the field of green energy. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/espa.io\/en\/c\/enviornment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">solutions in the field of the Environment<\/a>\n<\/strong>, the Circular Economy and Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the final, the finalists in the two distinct categories, <strong>Early-stage Startups<\/strong> and<strong>Innovation Idea Holder<\/strong>, will <strong>present their innovative solution to environmental issues<\/strong>, followed by questions and scoring by the jury. Their goal is to <strong>convince<\/strong> and <strong>impress<\/strong> the <strong>jury and the public with their innovation<\/strong>, in order to win the competition&#8217;s prizes and <strong>a place in the GreenTech Incubator.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Specifically, the GreenTech Challenge finalists compete in 8 themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Environment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Energy<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Innovative Green Products &amp; Advanced Materials<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Factory of the Future<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mineral Raw Materials<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smart &amp; Sustainable Cities<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sustainable Tourism<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Blue Growth<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The programme is carried out under the scientific  <strong>Responsibility<\/strong> of <strong>Research Unit of Economic Environment and Sustainable Development of the National Technical University of Athens<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">UNESCO<\/a> Chair for Green Innovation and the Circular Economy (<\/strong>Unit Director, Professor Konstantinos Aravosis), with Mantis Beyond Innovation as the organisational manager and  <strong>under the auspices of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ypen.gov.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ministry of Environment and Energy<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>For yet another year, the  <strong>programme<\/strong> is supported by the  <strong>largest companies<\/strong> in the  the <strong>environment sector<\/strong>.
